Wayne Earl Jones

Wayne E. Jones, age 66 of Austin, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Dell Seton Medical Center at UT in Austin. Services for Wayne will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Philemon Brown, Pastor Willie Phillips and Pastor Charles Embra officiating. Burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Wayne was born July 27, 1955 in Cameron to Ollie and Helen Marie (White) Jones. He attended Rockdale I.S.D. and served in the U.S. Army. He has lived the past 10 years in Austin, and was a retired laborer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Helen Jones and sisters, Mary Louise Jones and Regina Mayfield. Surviving are daughters, Enjoli Jones of Taylor and Tersmia Jones of Houston; step daughter, Luciana McDade of Taylor; brothers, Carl Jones, Darryl Jones, Calvin Jones and wife Lanna; sisters, Ivy Jones, Vickie Jones, Kathleen Jones, Veronica Jones Cremption and Janice Jones; six grandchildren, Javon Rubin, Raylin Demeritt, Timothy, Michelle, Ariona and Rebecca McCray; aunts, Carolyn Cooper and husband Donald, Sally White of Rockdale, Ethel Mae Washington of Hutto, Mary Marie Brown of Houston, Lillian Hollis and Merlene Lazard of Houston; an uncle Roy Ross of Houston and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
