Thomas Phelps Sharp

October 13, 1954 - April 21, 2022

Tom was born October 13, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas to Orval and Ruby Sharp. He graduated from Sam Rayburn High School and worked for Globe Tires. He went on to attend the University of Houston after which he went to teach A/C technician classes. He was one of the most dedicated and hardworking men in this entire world. Tom worked as an A/C electrician for Wendy’s International where he met his loving wife, Brenda. They were united in marriage in August of 1991 and spent a lifetime together of amazing memories that will be cherished forever. Tom was an incredible husband, father, and Papaw, as well as a dedicated friend, uncle, and brother to so many. After 42 years of hard work doing what he loved, he retired and spent his time fishing and hunting. Tom enjoyed so many things in life such as barbecuing and gathering with friends and family. He loved spending his time with his grandchildren and teaching them so many wonderful things. Thomas passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday, April 21, 2022 surrounded by family and close friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Ruby Sharp, his uncle Frank, Aunt May, Aunt Carrie, Aunt Florice, and Aunt Maxine. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Brenda Sharp of Dime Box; his sons, Frank Sharp of Houston and Marty and Ashley Bowles of Deer Park; his grandchildren who he loved with all his heart, Tyler, Kaley, and Savannah Bowles; cousin, Carol Thacker of Houston, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Sharp, Marty Bowles, Tyler Bowles, Lee Liles, Roger David, and Miguel Vega. Honorary pallbearer is Billy Kunkel. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the entire Vega family for all their love and support. Graveside services for Thomas Sharp, 67 of Dime Box, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Grandview Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
