Martha Bohacek
November 6, 1930 - June 8, 2021
Martha Bohacek, 90, of Houston, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday June 8, 2021. A public visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat, Texas from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, Wednesday, June 16th followed by a Rosary at 11:30 and Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Martha worked at Jessup Elementary in the cafeteria and was a homemaker for her two children, Johnny and Raymond. Then after she retired, she spent her days with her granddaughter, Melanie. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, going to church and spending time with her family. Martha was a member of Saint Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. Some of her family’s favorite memories include her homemade kolaches, picking and cracking pecans for hours. She loved getting updates from all the distant, extended family with pictures and cards they sent her, sitting outside after a homemade meal and enjoying the company of family as well as admiring her beautiful gardens of lilies, roses, gardenias, and her granddaughters favorite, Camelia Trees. Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were the best! The best memories of family times with her were spent playing dominoes and card games for hours, together. She loved her family and would tell the best stories of all the memories of her brother and sisters, her husband John and two sons. Family and friends would describe her as one of the most God loving, kindest, generous, caring, strongest and sweetest woman they have ever met. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Carrie Knesek; husband, John Bohacek; brothers John, Ernest, Willie, Eddie and Louis Knesek; sisters, Margaret Krueger, Lydia Bohacek, Annie Kubelka and Angeline Tschoerner. She is survived by her sons, Johnny David as well as Raymond Bohacek and his wife Julie; granddaughter, Melanie Bohacek and great-grandchildren Ethan and Dylan. Her loving heart is the thing that will be remembered the most about her. She loved to laugh, always smiling and full of joy. Martha always said, laughter is the best medicine. We are Grateful for that sure hope of resurrection from the dead through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and we are greatly looking forward to seeing her in heaven. “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Proverbs 31:25
