Marlene Yvonne Brown

Marlene Yvonne (McQuaid) Brown was born on June 26, 1941 in Junction City, Ohio to William and Irene (Teal) McQuaid. She married Michael Brown and together they had four children. She most recently worked as a housekeeper. Marlene enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers and sewing. She made lots of quilts for her family through the years. Marlene passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene McQuaid; her husband, Michael Brown; three sons, Eugene Brown, Bill Brown, and Michael Brown, and four sisters, Jane Reed, Judy Wray, Barbara Huffines, and Ruth McDaniels. Marlene is survived by her daughter, Pam Diamond & her husband, Warren of Giddings; seven grandchildren, Ricky Joe Davis of Florida, Jaymie Pereiro & her husband, Chris of Round Top, Stephanie Westfall & her fiancé, Jason Chestnut of Giddings, Warren Paul Diamond & his wife, Kristi of Louisiana, Dustin Diamond & his fiancé, Vivian Hernandez of Giddings, Michael Diamond & his wife, Margaret of Luling, and Jessica Brown of Ohio; nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Jean Fouty of Ohio, June McQuaid of Ohio, Pat Hartshorn & her husband, Dave of Ohio, and Carol Meyer & her husband, John of Ohio; two brothers, Gary McQuaid of Florida and Don McQuaid & his wife, Joann of Florida, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with what would have been Marlene’s wishes, the family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
