As a young child she was baptized in Stafford, Texas. She married John Ragan on October 26, 2002 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. For several years Liz would travel with John when he was working, but when the grandkids came along she wanted to stay at home and take care of her growing family. She loved crafting, traveling, going to the beach, swimming with the boys, and riding behind John on their motorcycle. Liz always had a camera in her hand and had thousands of pictures of the places she visited and of family members. When she wasn’t cheering on her son and grandsons with their sports, she was cheering on the Astros and Texans. She loved her extended family and also became a mom to many of her nieces and nephews. Liz will be remembered for her love of the color purple and butterflies. She passed away the evening of Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home in Missouri City. Liz is preceded in death by her father, Frank Ortegon; brother, John Ortegon Sr.; aunt, Elizabeth Jimenez, and four uncles, Ruffino Guerrero, Manuel Guerrero, Frank Guerrero, and Julian Guerrero. She is survived by her husband, John Ragan of Missouri City; son, Robert & Brenda Medina Jr. of Missouri City; two grandchildren, Christian Medina and Caleb Medina both of Missouri City; mother, Hope Guerrero of Lincoln; brother, Frank Ortegon Jr. of Lincoln; a niece who she thought of as a daughter, Hope Ortegon of Lincoln; beloved dog, Patches, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
