Kevin Lee "Cowpoke" Reese

August 3, 1966 - July 25, 2020

Kevin Lee Reese "Cowpoke" was born on August 3rd 1966 in Rockdale, Texas to Billy and Linda Reese. He was a 1984 Milano ISD graduate. He worked as a ranch hand and bull hauler all his life. Kevin was known and loved by many, he never met a stranger, and was always willing to lend a hand or crack a joke. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, but what comes a close second was his trucks to be "Arkin and Sparkin" (decked out in chrome and lit up with chicken lights) as Kevin would say "ain't no feeling like cow mobilin" Kevin passed away on Saturday, July 25th in Milano, Texas and he is proceeded in death by his mom, Linda Wiederhold. Surviving are his parents, Billy and Diana Reese of Milano and Bill Wiederhold of Milano; Son, William Reese and wife Jatanna of Aransas Pass; Daughter, Jessica Padgett and husband Will of Franklin; Sisters, Missy Coldiron and husband Randy of Milano, Kelly Lane and husband Eddie of Milano, Sheila Codoluto and husband David of The Woodlands, and Tracy Simpson of The Woodlands; Grandchildren, Braxton, Eli and Makayla Reese and Peyton Padgett; numerous nieces, nephews and one of whom he called "Precious", Robert Reese and a world of friends. Graveside services are 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 in the Liberty Cemetery near Milano with Pastor Gary Westbrook officiating. Visitation is also Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Pallbearers are Eddie Lane, Curtis Barnett, Carl Dean Blake, Buster Bode, Robert Stevenson, Michael Kellum Honorary pallbearers, Robert Reese, Daniel Clanton, Will Padgett, Justin Lane, Ray Threadgill, Randy Coldiron. "He traveled the roads in years gone past, a life he chose and hoped it would last. Driving all night from state to state trying to get home and arriving so late, he parked his truck now, his engine has stopped, and those who loved him, their hearts have dropped. He traveled the country with a smile and great pride, now he drives the streets of heaven on the trucker's last ride may God ride with you. 10-4 and goodbye"
