Karene Jane Weise

Karene Jane Weise, age 80 of Thorndale, passed away Saturday night, December 18, 2021 in the Seton Williamson County Hospital in Round Rock. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Detmold Cemetery in Thorndale. Karene was born December 2, 1941 in Thorndale to Oscar and Ida (Synatzsky) Heintze. She worked as a secretary at the States Attorney General’s Office until she left there, and became a full-time homemaker, farmer and rancher, which was something she loved to do because she enjoyed cooking, gardening and working in her flower beds. She was a supporter and volunteer for her children’s activities. Karene was a sitter of children in her home and adored each and every one of them dearly. On October 22, 1961, she and Melvin Roy Weise were married in Thorndale. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ida Heintze; her husband, Melvin Roy Weise on October 4, 2019; brother, Marvin Heintze and sister LaVerne Mirtsching. Surviving is her son, Terrell Weise of Thorndale; daughter, Kenda Ponder and husband Adam of Fort Worth; sister, Maebell Beard of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren, Lauren Ponder and Wyatt Ponder and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Randall Unnasch, Bervin Mirtsching, Warren Mirtsching, Brian Beard, Allen Hall, Devin Fisher, Logan Fisher. Memorials may be made to Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
