Josie Lee Beseda

Josie Lee Beseda, 74, of Rockdale, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Josie was born on August 9, 1947 in Caldwell, Texas to Joe and Bernice “Marie” Beseda, she was one of nine children. Josie spent the last 7 years of her life being lovingly cared for in the home of Cassie Mitchell. It was some of the best years of her life, spent traveling, participating in church, watching Cassie’s nephew in rodeos, attending community events, shopping, eating out, having her hair and nails done, and one of her favorite activities, dancing. Cassie’s family adored Josie and considered her one of them. Josie was caring and considerate, as well as loving. She found joy being around children and thoroughly delighted in Cassie’s grandchildren, especially as Josie put it, her brown-eyed boy. She was appreciative when people did something for her, and she let them know. She liked being close to people and would smile and start talking to them, and sometime she would even put her head on their shoulder, she never met a stranger! Her sweet smile and fun personality will be missed! Josie will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale, Texas. Rev. S. L. Hancock from Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Rockdale will be conducting a graveside service on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11am for family and friends.
