Guadalupe C. Gutierrez, 80, of Caldwell, Texas passed away on Friday June 10, 2022. A public visitation will be held from from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 15th followed by interment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Caldwell Texas. Lupe was born to David and Adela Gutierrez on December 10, 1941 in Snook, Texas. He married the love of his life, Sipriana Ortega Gutierrez on October 12, 1968 and was happily married for 47 years. Lupe lived a humble life and made his transition into heaven on June 10, 2022 at Burleson St Joseph Manor surrounded by his loving family. Lupe was blessed with three wonderful children. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sipriana (Sara) O. Gutierrez; daughter, Olivia Ann Gutierrez, brothers, Jesse Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Pete Gutierrez and sister Adelia Rocha. Lupe is survived by his son, Daniel Lee Gutierrez; daughters, Rebecca (Becky) Jean Schenk and husband Raymond A. Schenk and Deborah (Debbie) Jean Pena and her husband, Noah P. Pena. He was proudest of his grandchildren, Austin Alexander Hale, Jacob Robert Pena, Noah Phillip Pena, Jr., Alyssa Nicole Schenk and Easton Alexander Schenk. Known by many, he will be remembered for his kindness to everyone he met and never meeting a stranger. He worked hard while raising his family and after 30 plus years, he retired and remained just as busy by being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Rocha, Randy Garcia. Tony Gutierrez, Marshall Gutierrez, Jeff Saldivar, and Jody Saldivar. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Austin Hale.
