It is with extreme sadness that we announce Gary Ray Rotola passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 in Tomball, TX. He was a big character who loved to tease and make others laugh. He will be deeply missed by many. He was passionate about hunting and fishing and was especially proud of his famous 10-foot alligator catch. He was also the Founder & President of our family’s “I Ate a Bug Club” with the most recruits. Gary was born in Houston, Texas on January 11, 1951 to Anthony and Janey (Heins) Rotola. He attended Sam Houston High School and went on to play football at Texas Tech. Gary joined the Marine Corps where he served in the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge, he worked many years as a Communications Technician for Southwestern Bell/ATT. On April 14, 2000, he married Shirley Stifflemire. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Rotola and Janey (Heins) Williamson, and wife, Shirley Rotola. Gary is survived by his three sisters, Donna Steen of Tomball, Brenda & Eric Skaggs of Tomball, and Laurie Spano of The Woodlands; one brother, Boyd Williamson Jr. of Conroe, and many loved ones and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Owens, Jaxson Owens, Gavin Owens, Rocky Jones, Dillon “DJ” Larson and Junior Trice. Memorials may be made in his honor to Gary’s favorite cause, The Trump Reelection Fund, or the Republican Party.
