Charles C. Holder

Charles C. Holder, age 92 of Rockdale, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 in the Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. A private family graveside will be held at a later date. Mr. Holder was born March 24, 1930 in Palmer, Texas David and Massey (Moon) Holder. He was raised in Itasca, Texas and graduated High School from there. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from March 1951 and honorably discharged as a Staff Sargent in December 1952. He moved to Rockdale in 1954 and on August 19, 1954, he and Emelia Whitley were married in Rockdale. He is a member of First Baptist Church. Charles worked as a welder with Alcoa and retired in 1993. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Grady Holder and La Valle Holder Surviving is his wife, Emelia Holder of Rockdale; two daughters, Kim Holder James and husband Bobby of Fort Worth and Cecilia Holder Pryor of Belton and two grandchildren, Cameron James and John David James.
