Allie A. Key, 85, of Rockdale passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Winnie L Nursing Home in Cameron. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale with Pastor Mark Nygard officiating. Allie “Siscero” was born on September 11, 1936 to James H. “Snooks” and Maezelle (Touchstone) Yoakum in Rockdale. She graduated from Rockdale High School in 1954. She had worked at Ideal Cleaners and Yogis Drive In. Allie enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, working in her yard, playing bingo at the KC Hall and in her younger years, league bowling. On September 13, 1991, she married Clint Key at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clint Key; parents, James “Snooks” and Maezelle Yoakum; and brother, Jimmy Yoakum. Allie is survived by her daughters, Nancy Banks and husband Marshall of Thorndale, and Karen Banks and husband Chuck of Garner; grandchildren, Dusti Pesl and husband James, Kelsey Lehmann-Shipp, Tanner Banks and wife Layne, Emily Hirt, and Jami Banks; great grandchildren, Kathryn, Carli, and Caitlin Pesl, Lair Shipp, and Easton Mason. She is also survived by nieces, Phyl Hiney and husband Joey, and Katherine Culpepper and husband Wayne.
