Lacey May Cotton

Lacey May Cotton, 38, of Rockdale, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at MD Anderson in Houston. Services will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00am until service time.

Lacey was born August 12, 1976 in Rockdale to Condale Cotton and Edna Locklin. Lacey spent many years in Black Jack before moving away to live in Ohio, Colorado and Kansas before moving back to Rockdale in 2013. She loved to travel to new places and especially enjoyed going to the beach. Lacey loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Claramae Cotton; aunts, D'Rinda Cotton and Deaner Ray; and cousin, Keith Cotton.

Lacey is survived by her fiancé Grady Hall and his son, Clint Hall; sons, Jurel Goins and Justin Goins, both of Ohio; daughter, April Goins of Colorado; father, Condale Cotton and wife Christina of Black Jack; mother, Edna Inez Jones and husband Valgene of Rockdale: brothers, Randall Cotton of Rockdale and Edward Cotton of Black Jack; sister, Janie Burford of Rockdale; step-brother, Chris Russworn of Llano; step-sisters, Connie Locklin of Austin and Doloris Russorn of Jerrell; and grandchild, Aiden Hiner of Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to help with funeral expenses be made to a special account that has been set up at Rockdale Federal Credit Union in Lacey’s name. Donations can also be made to Wells Fargo into their savings account with Lacey’s name and date of birth.
