A funeral Mass for Johnny Joseph McMillan, will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Rev. Ramon Frayna and Deacon Don Simms celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the Forest Grove Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. in the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.

Johnny Joseph McMillan was born November 12, 1937 in Russellville, Alabama to Robert C. and Laura (Stockard) McMillan. He served in the U.S. Marines from November 1953 and honorably discharged in November 1955.
Johnny retired from Foundry Management after 35+ years and was the owner of Ultra Maid Cleaning Services from 1994 to 2012. He and Darla Sue Henry were married in Rockdale on November 22, 1980. He was the father of nine children. Johnny has lived in Rockdale since 1991 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Johnny passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his home in Rockdale after a hard fought battle with cancer. He reached the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Peter Brice McMillan; father-in-law, Milford Henry and brother-in-law, Dale Henry.
Surviving; His wife of 32 years, Darla Sue McMillan of Rockdale. Three sons, Daniel McMillan of Illinois, Steve McMillan of Monroe, Michigan and John McMillan of Germany. Six daughters, Kim Thompson and husband Arnie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tina Brondo and husband Joe of McDonough, Georgia, Monica Garner and husband Keith of Gonzales, Dorris Hill and husband Eddie of Rockdale, Laura Prince and husband David of Rockdale, Hannah Skala and husband Kyle of Rockdale. 13 grandchildren, Tyler Thompson and wife Victoria, Dillon Thompson, Aleyna Brondo, Brian Dolezal, Ben Brondo, Josh Landi, Emily Hill, Madison Smith, Erin Brondo, Trey Hill, Emma Prince, Jonah Brondo and Brooklyn Prince. One great granddaughter, Addison Thompson and his mother-in-law, Dorris Henry of Rockdale.
